Description:

Forter is looking for a DevOps guru to help lead a growing team of excellent people responsible for data stores, Production IT, Dev Automation, InfoSec, monitoring and alerting.

Stuff you’ll be doing, for example:

Implement logging infrastructure (ELK stack – ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)
Manage our deployment cycle across development and production environments in AWS.
Migrate from MySQL to ElasticSearch (replication, backup, continuous mapping updates)
Migrate from deployment scripts to packer.io and CloudFormation.
Take ownership of our monitoring and alerting infrastructure (Riemann.io, CloudWatch)
Design and implement our cross data centre failover solution.
Define our cloud and office security policies.
Lead and assure the work of the devOps team
Stuff you’ll need:

Fluent bash & python skills
Linux & Open Source – second nature
Experience with AWS or OpenStack based public clouds
Great with people. Love to work as part of a team. Be the one the team will follow.
Passion for new technology
Ability to learn, plan and execute
Ability to make up at least 3 new Chuck Norris jokes
We’d love it if you have:

Experience with deployment automation and config management (Ansible/Salt/Chef/Puppet)
Experience with advanced monitoring tools (Riemann/Kibana)
Continuous Deployment and SaaS development cycle experience.
Security minded, knows how to harden configuration, and perform basic security analysis.
Guitar-playing skills (or any other musical instrument for that matter, we’re starting a band)
