● 3+ years of experience with server-side development of large and complex software systems.
● 2+ years of experience with cloud-based services.

● Proven ability of writing good, solid server code and tests.
● Must have Self-learning ability.
● BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience from lead technological units.
What is awesome to have:
● Experience with Erlang

● Experience with functional programming (Scala, Akka, etc.)

In this position you will have end-to-end responsibility over the company’s production environment and application, running in the cloud. You’ll be required to think of ways and create tools to monitor the system and its various components, and alert on things that go wrong. You’ll need to take an active part in the architecture, design, and code of the backend. You’ll need to handle production issues.
Support and maintain mission critical, front-end and back-end production environments and applications
Improving performance, monitoring, and overall stability of our application
Interacting with the Engineering to create the architecture and design of the backend infrastructure
Create automated tools for deployment, customization, upgrades and monitoring
Cloud services administration (ElasticSearch, AWS - including EC2, S3, ElastiCache, EMR)

Senior Backend Developer
Position: Senior Backend Developer

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel
Description:
The Senior Backend Developer is experienced in all aspects of the full software development life cycle as well as design and development of client/server and/or web applications. This individual must be well rounded and have experience developing software in OO technologies, preferably Java and MySQL, and knowledge of NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra. Experience in cloud computing, especially Amazon AWS, is an advantage. The Senior Backend Developer should be familiar with web architecture, algorithms, server side programming and databases.
B.Sc. or higher in computer science.
Extensive OO development experience, preferably Java.
Knowledge of No-SQL databases, preferably Cassandra. Familiar with start-up environment
Knowledge and experience with mobile and tablet environments an advantage.
Knowledge and experience with PHP an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
