Description:
If the idea of working in the nitty-gritty, the lowest levels of the code base excite you, then we want to talk with you. Plarium is looking for several senior engine programmers to work with the Core team to design, add and modify features of both runtime and tools components of the engine. Design, write and modify data and code with a heavy focus on real-time performance and usability. Provide features which can be used in practice to create best-in-class contributions to our games. Write and modify tools that will provide access to engine features. This is game making at its core level.
Qualifications:
Strong C++ skills and the ability to code and architect various core engine systems.
A keen analytical mind, with strong problem solving skills.
Firm grasp of 3D math, including transforms and quaternions.
Experience with multiple core system tasks, such as graphics, tools, video, audio, networking, memory handling, script compilers, threading.
OpenGL rendering experience.
Performance optimization skills.
At least 3 years of professional experience.
Preference to applicants with:
Strong Objective C and Java skills experience.
Well versed in games and the ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games.
