Plarium established in 2009, the company employs over 500 individuals across its 3 global offices and animation studios. Plarium’s games are available on all major social networks such as: Facebook, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki and Mail.ru. Plarium is one of Facebook's top 10 game developers worldwide.
The research department is responsible for the analysis of competitive offering and market trends. By monitoring competitors’ games the research department helps decision makers and game designers to take actions upon competitive environment and market trends.
The program main objective is to train game designers for Plarium; during the program (1 year) the candidate will conduct research projects that will prepare them for their future role as game designers. In addition, the candidate will go through internal training. At the end of the internship program the candidate will be asked to complete a project that integrates research and game design and will be a factor in deciding on his internship completion.
As a research analyst, the new team member will be focused on market trends: growth markets and products. They will require to monitor and to analyze competitors’ games and to analyze their backend mechanics (reverse engineering).
They will present their findings to the internal customer and deliver a structured report.
Responsibilities:

Monitoring and analyzing games’ mechanics;
Monitoring market trends; analyzing various business models;
Presenting reports to all levels of management.
Professional requirements:

Academic background; graduate of a game design program is an advantage;
Excel and Power Point;
Experience in research is an advantage;
Ability to independent research for information over the web;
Personal requirements:

Interest in games culture and in games;
Curiosity and creativity;
Analytical skills; ability to define research scope, analyze it and to present the results;
Ability to dedicate yourself to research and make deep diving;
Presentation skills;
Good communication skills;
Visual communication skills is an advantage;
Autodidact;
Critical thinking;
Ability to receive criticism.
