Description:

We are looking for a hands on team leader to launch the development of a brand new multiplayer game. The team leader will be in charge of the entire R&D team of the new game, and will develop a massively scalable backend for it.
Jelly Button Games is currently home to 35 unicorns. Our first title - Pirate Kings - has been featured on both iOS and Google, and has been at the top charts in over a dozen countries. We are a top industry competitor in the area, and are successfully penetrating huge international territories at a rapid rate. All games are 100% in-house production.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate technophile, who lives and breathes technology. Someone who is excited about leading talented R&D teams to create a new product from scratch.
Inside Jelly, you’ll take an integral part in creating our second game which will be played by millions of players across the world; all the while, you’ll keep tight timelines, maintain high and professional standards of code, methodologies and product level.

Manage a growing R&D team of client & server developers and QA testers.
Design & develop highly scalable servers that serve millions of players per day on AWS
Write technical design documents for new game servers and future features
Architect scalable DB solutions
High level of understanding of current technologies to support multiplatform products
Foresee, recruit and lead the R&D team
Work tightly with product and art departments, keeping tight timelines

At least 5 years of proven experience in programming, with a significant background in server side development ( .Net / Java / NodeJS or similar).
Former experience in building and leading R&D teams
Hands on experience with large scale products
Experience working with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Heroku, etc)
Deep understanding of database technologies (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)
Experience in writing technical design documents
Knowledge of asynchronous programming
Experienced SCRUM (Agile) methodology
Willingness to be 100% hands on

Test driven development
A degree in computer science
Experience in B2C mobile field
