We are seeking a true leader, who will build, navigate and sail our R&D ship. The Head of R&D will play a key role in establishing, building, leading all Jelly’s technical teams and will be responsible for Jelly’s technological excellence as a top casual mobile gaming company.
Jelly Button Games is currently home to 35 unicorns. Our first title - Pirate Kings - has been featured on both iOS and Android, and has been at the top charts in over 6 countries. We are a top industry competitor in the area, and are successfully penetrating huge international territories at a rapid rate. All games are 100% in-house production.
This is a senior position that requires a strong understanding of R&D team-structure, function and proficiency. As part of the company’s management team, you will have a great impact on the company vision, growth and culture. You will work closely with other department managers and teams to oversee all R&D interfaces.
You’ll be inspiring, a true leader and team player, sharp, flexible, charismatic, tech savvy, and a people-person. You should possess exceptional management skills, an understanding of what it takes to scale a company, a strong technical background, and knowledge of the gaming market.

Lead and scale the company’s R&D structure: hire and direct a staff of senior group members.
Plan and execute your roadmap commitments.
Define methodology for R&D processes.
Pinpoint, acquire and implement optimal technology and engineering resources to meet product development requirements.
Ensure that the product development is fully and correctly defined and documented .

Proven experience as Head of R&D / VP R&D in an online software company (Mobile / Games advantage) with experience in managing R&D and delivery teams of 30+ employees.
At least 1 year of proven Unity3D development experience.
At least 10 years engineering experience.
Demonstrated team-building and leadership skills.
Strong operational and project management skills.
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required; MA or dual BA preferred.
