Position: Linux System Administrator

Location: Jerusalem

Description:

  Install, configure and optimize servers for customer and internal use.
  Perform backups, handle malfunctions around the world
  Communicate with 3rd party service suppliers and product support.
  Operate Linux and Windows server on a daily basis
  Administramistrative technical support for the company

Desired Skills & Experience:
  Experience of at least 1 year as IT staff.
  Sys Admin proficiency in main Linux OS flavours: Redhat 6 and CentOS 6, Fedora,
Ubuntu.
  Microsoft Windows Proficiency: Administration level, know and understand latest
Windows OS Releases, Windows 7/8, and Windows Servers: Microsoft Sql Server,
Remote desktop, Etc.
  Scripting: one or more of the following: BASH , Python, Perl
  Infrastructure maintenance : LAMP, monitoring tools,
  Bug management systems, e.g. Jira, Bugzilla, ...
  Server configuration tools, e.g. OMSA, PSP, ...
  English Fluency, ability to communicate with offshore suppliers and contractors.
  Support: ability to work out Company employees IT problem
Laptop/desktop/Wifi/Printing/etc.)
  Must - the job is in Jerusalem.

Advantage:

  Monitoring skills: nagios and the like. - nagios adv
server configuration management: puppet/chef/salt
Wiki
 Configuration Management: Ability to understand and support software developers:
 Makefile, Scons, RPM building, compilation and linkage.
 Experience with Financial market.
 RHCE Certificate is a plus.
 Hadoop cluster management
 Networking: Understanding the basic, fiber connectivity (Single and Multimode), L3 routing
and routing protocol, unicast and multicast traffic, TCP & UDP, ability to troubleshoot using
advanced techniques. Understanding Wifi.
Familiarity with Firewalls setup and configuration. Fortigate Appliances is a plus.
Familiarity with low latency switches such as Cisco Nexus Routers, Dell Force10, Arista Switches
3rd party handling (suppliers, vendors, carriers, etc).
