Description:
The job requires experience in Java Server Side Development using Object Oriented Design, design patterns and Databases. It also requires the ability to understand the complexity of working with massive amounts of data that flow into a system, finding the most efficient ways to process it and working closely with client side developers to create the best user experience.
Each CoolaData developer participates in all aspects of our product and features from the early stages of design and all the way to the last stages of deployment. You must be a fast learner, have a can do attitude and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
3+ years of Java programming experience
The ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of OO principles and design patterns (usage and pitfalls)
A strong understanding and experience with multi-threaded applications
The ability to design and develop complex components independently, dealing with advanced architectural issues (such as scalability and concurrency)
An ability to multitask and quickly respond to critical issues and changes in requirements
Experience with J2EE technologies, Spring, automated build systems such as Maven, Hudson, or equivalent
Extensive experience with large scale applications, relational and non-relational data storage and concurrency software
Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
A familiarity with test-driven development
A love of architecting and writing clean, simple, well modularized code
