Description:

Redis Labs is looking for an all-around QA player to join our small yet high-quality team. In this role you will perform manual and automatic tests, work closely with the R&D team and have direct impact on the quality of our product.

As our QA Engineer your responsibilities will include:

Writing, executing, evaluating and maintaining test cases for in-memory database clusters and web applications
Writing, monitoring, executing, evaluating and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications using industry standard automated testing tools
Installing, configuring and maintaining product, data, tools and test environments
Converting manual test plans to automated test scripts
Creating and upgrading test plans for each release
Developing and maintaining any of smoke, performance, functional, and regression tests to ensure code is functioning as designed.
Managing defect tracking and resolution processes so that a consistent, documented process is used and followed
Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing development teams with sufficient details to understand, replicate and resolve the defect
Creating scripts to compare and validate data results from testing. Maintaining well organized records of test results.
Writing and executing bash scripts and Python testing tools
Qualifications:

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in testing complex systems and web applications
Extensive experience in designing and developing automation test scripts for complex systems
Good analytical skills and knowledge of QA practice, both at conceptual and practical level
Experience in developing and maintaining test suites through formal methods of test design to ensure optimal test coverage. Defect tracking and use of test management tools
Attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
Familiar with Linux OS
Nice to haves:

Software development experience
Hands on knowledge of a scripting language such as Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.
Working knowledge in Product organization with Agile methodology
Good English writing skills
