Imperva, the leader in Data Security, is seeking a technically passionate senior System Administrator, R &D services to join the Global IT Team, located at our offices in Tel Aviv, Israel.

We are seeking a Sr. System Administrator with extensive experience who has worked in a complex computing environment to join our R&D services team. You will work as part of a team that provides operational support for systems, services, and requirements in R&D infrastructure environments. A thorough understanding of system administration is a must, and specific experience with VMware and Linux are required. Responsibilities

Manage a 24/7 always on multi-tier application delivery environment.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Supports development, test and production systems of various internal teams, as required, to ensure minimal downtime including after-hours participation.
Ability to independently identify, troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex technical issues related to infrastructure, network and application interaction.
Disaster Recovery management and testing.
Manages the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software and equipment such as air-conditioning system, UPS (uninterrupted power system) and fire protection system.
Troubleshoot complex system applications - both internal and external issues - at a high level of proficiency and independence.
Administer and troubleshoot complex Linux and Windows environments.
Work with development and infrastructure teams to enhance high availability of existing applications.
Work with product, development, and infrastructure teams to architect, build and maintain systems for new applications.
Requirements:

Over 5 years of experience in a similar role.
B.S or M.S. degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent work experience in technical field.
Expert ability to troubleshoot complex network and application issues spanning across applications, operating systems, networking and storage.
Must be security minded, with an excellent understanding of network/host security fundamentals.
Expert level experience administering Linux environments.
Strong Experience with Cloud providers (AWS).
Proficiency in BASH scripting (required) and one of Perl / Python / PHP (nice to have).
Practical experience with Nagios / Cacti / MRTG / keynote advantage.
Knowledge of server virtualization, VMware/VShpere; designing, implementing and configuring local area networks, including VLANs and redundancy is desired.
Ability to work non-standard hours on occasion.
