This is a unique opportunity to work with a world-class development team within a leading video technology company. In this role, you will be involved in developing applications that:

Revolutionize the classroom and remote learning experience in the world’s top Universities using our video products, including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, and Stanford.
Shape the way millions of consumers experience video on desktops, mobile devices, and set-top boxes, delivered by Disney, Warner Bros, HBO and other media companies that use Kaltura’s technology.
Transform the way employees in the world’s largest companies, such as IKEA, SAP, AT&T and Intel, communicate and share knowledge with each other, using video.

In this role you will:

Participate in the prototyping, analysis, design, development and delivery of applications and solutions that delight our customers
Collaborate with other teams, including architects, Product Managers, QA, Professional Services, and the CTO, to solve critical business & technical problems
Ensure a quality solution through the use of industry standard technical excellence practices – including design reviews, performance modeling, and code inspections
The Team

Kaltura’s Application Team leads, designs, and develops elegant next-gen applications for consumption of video by millions of students, employees and consumers, across many screens, browsers, and devices. We also use APIs and Kaltura’s core platform to seamlessly integrate video into market leading applications and systems, including SharePoint, Drupal, Moodle, Blackboard, WordPress, Sakai, Desire2Learn and many others. The Application Team operates in an exciting, creative, and fast phased startup environment, while also benefits from the resources and the capabilities of a well-established global industry leading company.

For this role we look for:

3+ years of demonstrated software development experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development life cycle (required)

Solid understanding of and experience working on web technologies such as REST, HTTP, JSON (required)

Ability to work in a results-driven, high pressure environment (required)

B.sc degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent (required)

Experience in web site and web application development principles (plus)

Experience in PHP development and zend framework (plus)

Experience with HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript and jQuery (plus)

Solid knowledge of web standards, cross-browser, cross-platform and cross device compatibility (plus)

Excellent knowledge and understanding of design patterns (plus)

A solid engineering foundation indicated by a demonstrated understanding of product design, life cycle, and software development practices (plus)
