Description:

The Java Architect is responsible for performing analysis and defining product architecture, design complex systems at the component level, make technology choices, and directly supervise the quality of designs and implementation inside and between components.

He or she is responsible for delivering a working solution with optimal quality while maintaining conceptual integrity.
The Java Architect provides mentorship, including setting best practices and performing code reviews. Recommend new technologies, tools and standards to improve efficiency and productivity.

The Java Architect reports to the Development Manager.

Responsible for delivering sophisticated, high-quality solutions in a timely fashion
Responsible for creating architectural artifacts, documentation and training of architectural patterns and solutions
Serve as domain expert in architecture and Java technologies
Responsible for code writing and code quality of the team
Responsible for defining system level testing and stressing the system
Drive improvements and processes behind architectural consistency and software productivity
Responsible to analyze business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture
Has and maintains in-depth knowledge of company products
Mentoring developers
Demonstrate domain expertise and be easily approachable by other employees

Relevant academic background
6+ years of experience in object oriented software engineering (OOAD, OOP)
Experience in:
Experience designing an enterprise application
Experience as an architect on inception-to-delivery of successful J2EE projects with optimal quality
Experience in writing design specifications, programming specifications, and documentation
Familiar with architectural solutions involve middleware , service buses, SOA, event driven, transaction processing and workflow
Exemplary general IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.)
Hands-on design, architecture and implementation experience with J2EE and RDBMS related technologies (App Servers, JMS, JMX, Spring, Hibernate)
Building Web Services architectures (Soap, REST)
Experience with interaction with legacy systems and phased application integration
Responsible and self-motivated
Creative, visionary, passion for technology
Written, verbal, and diagrammatic communication skills
English-high level
