Position: QA Team Leader

Description:

The QA team leader is the technical authority as well as the manager of all the activities of the QA Testing Team. He or she provides guidance for the testers in the scripting and execution process and reflects to management the status of the team’s deliverables. When needed, the QA Team Leader initiates changes and improvements to the work of the team, whether through training, technical tools, procedures, and so on.

Responsible for on-time delivery of the team’s tasks, according to a pre-defined plan and quality criteria.
Actively manage the Testing Team on a day-to-day basis, facilitating the work of the team.
Provide effort estimations, due dates, and planning of activities of the group.
Make sure that all of the Team’s members are appropriately trained and efficient in their tasks.
Responsible for the quality of test scripts – provide business and technical guidance during the process of test design, followed by review of the output.
Management of testing execution – work as technical focal point and ensure that the progress is according to the set timeline and quality requirements.
Provide status reports about the progress of the tasks under his/her responsibility; resolve conflicts, and raise flags about outstanding issues that need to be escalated for mitigation.
Responsible for personal development and constant improvement of the QA team knowledge.
Maintain close cooperation with development team, manage the defect qualification according to the set priority, manage defect and ”as-designed” calls, participate in integration tests.
Performs AQ Engineer tasks and duties as required.
Explore new methodologies and tools to improve testing methodology.
Responsible for integrating automated tests processes into the QA life cycle.

Relevant academic background (BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology)
Proven experience in:
Software testing of complex systems– minimum 3 years
Managing testing teams– minimum 2 years
SQL and Oracle DB
Experience in:
Developing automated testing tools - advantage
Business analysis–advantage
Knowledge in:
Complex banking (preferably payments) /financial systems-advantage
NT and UNIX OS
English – mother tongue level
Availability to travel to customer sites
Assertive, able to multi-task, self-motivated and able to motivate others
