Description:

The Business Performance Department is responsible for enhancing Plarium’s success by ensuring excellent performance across all areas of the business, including marketing, game & product design, retention, monetization, and more. The department builds, operates and optimizes these processes across the entire company through industry leading analytical practices, product understanding and a customer focused approach.

Plarium is developing a Big Data platform to support its analytics & BI activities. As a Big Data architect, you will help design and develop this strategic platform. You’ll be working towards finding a mission-critical solution to be used throughout the business.

Plarium is looking for candidates with a broad set of skills, to guide and build robust solutions for Big Data problems, at the same time learning and growing alongside the business. Join our team to challenge yourself, test your limits and develop innovate, open source Big Data solutions.

Participate in architecture design and plan robust, scalable data solutions to support versatile usage patterns (granular queries, aggregations, data mining etc.)
Create and design the the Big Data components of our BI platform.
Provide technical leadership and instruct team members on design and development practices.
Suggest tools and products to complement our current technology stack and enhance DevOps capabilities in the organization.

2+ years’ of Hadoop experience designing and coding robust data stores, data loads and post processing procedures utilizing the MapReduce framework.
Deep familiarity with and understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem. This includes knowing the best tools for each task and keeping up to date with the latest advances in the Big Data open source scene.
Desired Skills:

Experience with other big data technologies – such as Vertica – will be seen as an advantage.
Experience with and basic understanding of Flume.
Experience with Cloudera will be seen as an advantage,
Familiarity with DevOps concepts or DevOps experience will be taken into account.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and provide innovative, creative solutions to technical problems.
Excellent multi-tasking skills – candidate must be able to work with various departments simultaneously.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
