Ajillion is a startup company with an amazing technology, recently acquired by Crossrider. Our product is a mobile advertising SaaS system that runs in the cloud. We serve a few billion requests per day, generating the optimal result for each one by utilizing a sophisticated algorithm that runs on top of hundreds of nodes. We use bleeding edge technology, mostly open source, and we constantly adapt to new technologies. We are looking for a hacker to join our technology team. Responsibilities

Solving complex development problems. Handle information at the scale of the web requires ideas from just about every area of computer science, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data compression, user interface design, etc. You will work on many projects that carry varying responsibilities.
– Development of highly-scalable, high performance, multithreaded, service-oriented software modules under top of the cutting edge technologies
– Participate in leading data initiatives to support never ending growth
– Create reliable, transparent data processes that ensure systems’ reliability and integrity
– Recommend and choose new technologies
– Designing and implementing solutions that enable large-scale stream processing
– Design, optimize and implement solutions using Open Source and other technologies

The perfect candidate is someone with a vast experience as a developer (over 10 years).
– Linux and open source tools are must.
– We develop in Python but experience in other technologies is very relevant
– Experience with large scale and heavily loaded systems is a must
– Experience with a few of the following is a must: Big data, Algorithms, Data science, Nosql, MongoDB, Column based databases, Document databases, Redis, Vertica
– Eager to learn new technologies
