Description:

The CTERA QA automation team is responsible for testing advanced on-site storage appliances and off-site cloud multi-platform solutions. The automation team leader position is a hands-on automation engineering role focusing on leading the implementation of automated functionality and performance testing. In this position you will be responsible for managing, planning, designing, and deploying effective test automation suites in multi-platform environments. He/she must demonstrate the ability to understand storage system architectures, and develop tests across multiple hardware and software tiers. The position involves close interaction with members of the QA and the Development teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead and develop test automation to cover product features and provide product performance estimations.
Demonstrate technical leadership and act as a mentor for the rest of the QA Automation team members.
Produce reports and documentation for all automated testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging and tracking.
Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
Work closely with Development and QA engineers to define and implement testing and verification strategies and automation scenarios.
Identify performance issues and risk areas, generating baseline statistics for the products and its analysis.
Setup complicated multi-server cross-platform customer environments (Windows, Linux, and Solaris).
Research new testing technologies, develop cutting-edge automation and provide product enhancements and/or recommendations when necessary.

Requirements:

BSc in Computer Science.
Independent, responsible, organized and quick learner with strong problem-solving ability.
At least 3 years of direct experience as an automation engineer implementing test automation for enterprise applications.
Experience of at least 3 years with coding using Java, SQL, Scripting languages.
Knowledge of UNIX, Networking and Operating Systems design / tuning / tools (Win + Unix).
Strong Ability to analyze technical data and concise technical documents.
Experience with automation and load generation/ measurement tools (such as JSystem, Selenium, Load Runner etc.) - An advantage.
Experience with database tuning and administration - An advantage.
Experience with virtualization environments and tools such as VMware – An advantage.
Experience with storage environments – An advantage.
