We are looking for a talented and experienced software developer with great personal skills to join us in our start-up environment. If you are excited by working with large volumes of data and complex analysis solutions, then this is the job for you. As a big data engineer at SundaySky, you will work with advanced big data systems aggregating 100s of millions of events daily.

SundaySky’s R&D teams are responsible for building the platforms that generate millions of engaging, personalized, real-time videos every month, as well as the tools and services used to design these video templates, measure them and automatically optimize them.

Build Advanced data aggregation and visualization tools
Design and implement actionable analysis on large and complex data sets
Build infrastructure components to quickly process large amounts of complex data

At least 4 years of experience with Java programming
One or more of the following:
- Hands-on knowledge of statistics and statistical methods
- Experience with R or similar statistical programming environments
- Experience with no-SQL databases
- Experience with high volume processing methods (e.g. map reduce)
Ability and knowledge of working with cloud computing environments – a plus
Knowledge of advanced scripting languages such as Python or Ruby – a plus
