Position: Perl and Linux based System Developer (Project Base Position)

Description:

Application and System architect, administrator to work in close interaction within a team of software developers, mainly Perl, on Linux operating systems and Oracle DB.
Develop, maintain and support the systems software as well as software planning and evaluation.
Create tools that help other groups to create and consume data in a scalable way.
Create tools for monitoring and analyzing the system's behavior.
Provide creative solutions for data-related problems by mixing in house and open source technologies.
Mentor other people in the group and other groups about best practices and guidelines related to the group's responsibilities.

B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent work experience.

Other Requirements: Very seasoned in Perl coding, Linux operating systems, Oracle DB, Apache Web server, Web application development.
Passion for code quality and improvement of the maintainability of the code base. Strong problem-solving ability experience with agile, test-driven software development and continuous integration.
Good interpersonal skills.
Strong team worker, good collaboration abilities.
Fast and flexible learner.

Hands-on experience as Application DBA in large systems using Oracle.
Experience in SQL optimization.
Knowledge of DB synchronization tools, such as Data Guard.
Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies: html, css, javascript, jQuery, ExtJS.
